Here at the Hazleton Y we are committed to develop youth by helping them stregthen their bodies, adopt a healthy lifestyles and build their self confidence in a safe nuturing environment with good role models. Youth Fit provides opportunities to play, grow and learn while creating a strong foundation.
EXTREME TWEENS (8-11 years old)
Youth will be introduced to fun activities that increase physical activity and teach healthy lifestyle choices. Non-competitive games will inspire youths by allowing them to feel successful and confident. CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) is an evidence-based program that helps teach children that eating healthy and being physically active every day can be FUN. The non-competitive, age appropriate games can promote behavior changes that can last a lifetime. (But don’t tell the kids because they think they are just having a good time.) Add some free time in the pool and you have a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Preregistration and participation wavier is required and can be done one week prior to the event date. Event will be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met by 5 pm on the Friday preceding each event. *** Not offered at this time |
