With so many demands on today's families and the increased focus on early brain development, families need all the support they can get to nurture the potential of their child. That’s why child care at the Y focuses on nurturing child development by providing a safe, fun and healthy place to learn life skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self confidence and self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honest, respect and responsibility.

Our child care and seven school age programs are all STAR ONE Pennsylvania Keystone Stars facilities.

WE CARE DAY CARE

We provide the Hazleton area with complete child care options at our Center for Youth at 81 South Church Street.

Time: 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Days: Monday through Friday

Infant Care

Ages: 6 weeks to 14 months of age
Fee: $132/week

Toddler Care
Ages: 15 months to 36 months of age
Fee: $132/week

Preschool Care 
Ages: 3 years to 5 years of age
Fee: $107/week

SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE

Through guided play children learn values, positive behaviors, respecting themselves and others, appreciate differences and discover the value of friendship. In this nurturing and caring environment, on-site at your child's school, children engage in physical activities, learn and imagine through interactive games, arts and crafts and team building projects that encourage children to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Our caring staff create a partnership by working together to help children grow up healthy, happy and strong.

Hours: 6:30 am to the start of school day / end of school day until 6:00 pm.

Fee:  a.m. care only -  $60/week
        p.m. care only -  $70/week
        a.m. and p.m. care - $75/week

In the case of early dismissals and delayed openings, the Y program will operate as usual, beginning and ending at regular times in each child’s home school where Y staff will be present.

HOLIDAY CAMP

Full day child care is provided to children in  kindergarten through sixth grade at the
Hazleton YMCA and YWCA, 75 South Church Street on school holidays, Act 80 days,       in-service days and weather related closings.

Time: 6:30 am to 6:00 pm 

Fee:       No charge for children enrolled full-time in Before/After School program.
             $21/day for children not in program

Nominal fees will be charged for possible field trips throughout the school year. The Hazleton YMCA and YWCA is a state licensed center. Holiday camp will operate on:

                        2/20, 4/5, 4/6, 4/9, 5/11

Parents please have your child bring a lunch.
