CAMP DISCOVERY

Summer Camp at the Hazleton YMCA/YWCA provides supervised activities that teach core values and leadership skills. Kids have fun while they build confidence, appreciate teamwork and gain independence. Camp Discovery activities allow kids to create arts and crafts, climb the rock wall, swim, participate in field trips, appreciate nature and better understand our many cultures.

Registration Fee: $60

Camp Fee: $105 a week or $21 a day with a 3 day minimum

Camp Discovery is a 5 day a week program that operates for 12 weeks in the summer from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. Children must be at the Y by 9:30 am.

Lunch and snacks are included.

    - Community Park
    - Mauch Chunk Lake
    - Bungalow in Tamaqua
    - Regal Cinema
    - Cinema Draft House
    - The Strand, roller-skating
    - Others to be announced

Guidelines:
    - Each participant needs a Hazleton YMCA/YWCA membership
    - Each participant must have completed kindergarden
    - Everyone is welcomed. Scholarship applications are available at the
      Front Desk.
    - If your child is currently enrolled in the Before and After School
     program, Coordinated Child Care must be notified at 1-800-922-6264.
    - Before and After Care participants must register and will be required
      to fill out camp packets
